Christmas Moments

Join us on Saturday, December 11th at Hoover High School's Performing Arts Hall for two different performances at 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm! We are excited to share what we have learned in class so far and celebrate the holiday season. Each year all of our classes and students perform in our annual Christmas show. Performing is a valuable part of the learning process in the performing arts and so rewarding to share with an audience. Invite friends and family to relax and enjoy while we put on a show!

Tickets are general admission and $10 each. You can begin purchasing tickets through the studio office on Monday, November 1st. Tickets will also be available at the door. Masks are not required for audience members but may be worn; the balcony and main floor of the auditorium will be open for ample seating. Our shows are professionally video recorded to have to keep. You may purchase DVDs of one or both shows; $15 for one show; $28 for both shows. DVDs must be ordered ahead of time, so those orders and money are due Thursday, November 4th. Please remember there is not photography or video allowed during the actual performances (June dress rehearsals you are permitted to video), so if you would like a recording, please plan to order a DVD. Lastly, we Junior Company will be selling flowers, treats/snacks, and water at both shows. Stop by the tables to pick up flowers or a treat for you and your dancer while supporting ATTDJC!

Our mandatory Dress Rehearsals will be held the evening before on Friday, December 10th. Dress Rehearsals are at A Time To Dance for our Christmas shows. Shows One dress rehearsal begins at 4:45pm. Show Two dress rehearsal begins at 6:45pm. Your performer must attend the dress rehearsal in order to perform in the show. You may leave once you have finished all of your routines for that rehearsal, though we do request that performers stay backstage through the end of the actual performance to take their bow in the finale. Instructors will be backstage and in the changing area monitoring students. Performers should wear their correct attire, shoes, accessories, hair, and makeup to dress rehearsal.

Here is how you should prepare.

Students should wear the outfit described under their class type on our Dress Code Sheet  along with the $5 headpiece/accessory specifically for their class. These accessories will be passed out in November for you to keep. Please note that some classes, such as Troupe, may be wearing different costumes—instructors will inform both the students and parents if this is the case.

All performers should wear their hair in a tight ballet bun unless otherwise specified by the instructor. Acrobatics classes classes should wear their hair in a ponytail. No jewelry or nail polish should be worn while in costume.

Makeup List: Pink/Berry lipstick, Rose blush, Neutral eye shadows to define and brighten eyes, Eyeliner, Mascara, Eyebrow pencil, Foundation/Concealer, Contour/Highlight as needed, False Eyelashes ages 13+
