Our History

In 1986, Linda Cavella took a step in faith and opened the doors of A Time to Dance Studio. It had been a vision of hers for many years. In the beginning, A Time to Dance was just a single room studio with Linda living in the back room. A couple of location upgrades later, the studio has found its current home on South Main Street in North Canton, Ohio. Now with four studios, an office, waiting room, and dressing area, A Time to Dance is able to provide more classes than ever for dancers of all ages and abilities. At A Time to Dance our focus is on giving students the opportunity to learn various styles of dance in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. With emphasis on proper technique and showmanship, students are taught with patience and care to make the most of their abilities, fostering their individual growth and self-esteem. Dancers also train to use their God-given talents for community outreach, entertainment, and ministry. A Time to Dance is very proud to be the one of the first and few studios in Northeast Ohio that supports Dance Abilities, having developed classes for individuals with disabilities desiring to dance and perform. Each and every student and family that walks through the doors of A Time to Dance are counted as friends.
